This product is the result of extensive design and research.
All materials used by Harrys of London are of the highest quality and are continually tested for their durability and comfort.
FIT
The width fitting used on the majority of our shoes is an E fitting. Please note that this can differ in some styles and should only be used as general guide.
A wider last (EE) is used on the following styles: JAMES, JASON, JASPER, JIM and JULIAN.
For styles that are made from the unlined Kudu suede, we recommend choosing
half-a-size smaller as these will tend to have a more comfortable and relaxed fit. Styles that follow this sizing difference (such as the BASEL, DWAIN AND JET MOC) have a reminder at the bottom of their description.
CARE
When not wearing your shoes, we recommend storing them with natural Cedar wood shoetrees. This will absorb any moisture in the shoes and help to retain their shape.
Always use a shoe horn when stepping into your shoes, this will avoid stretching the shoe and damaging the leather.
Take care to fully loosen and untie any laces before removing your shoes; this will prolong their life.
All Harrys of London shoes are supplied with a cotton shoe bag. Using the shoe bag when traveling or storing your shoes will help prevent scuffs and scratches to the leather or suede.
To allow your shoes time to rest and recover we suggest you alternate your shoes each day.
The Technogel® innersole is secured in place with a simple adhesive which can be removed should you need to place an orthotic or additional innersole in your shoes. The Technogel® innersole can then be replaced on top and secured in the same way to ensure you still gain the maximum benefits of the Technogel®.
CLEANING
SUEDE – Gently brush in one direction with a stiff haired or rubber suede brush to remove any excess dirt. Once cleaned, apply a suede spray protector to the shoes. It is advisable to initially test on a small part of the suede to ensure that the spray does not have any adverse reactions to the colouring or finish. Once the shoes have been treated with the spray, leave for 30 minutes before wearing them to ensure that the spray has dried.
LEATHER – Firstly clean the surface with a damp cloth ensuring that any dirt and grit is removed. This will prevent any scratches when polishing the shoe. We recommend using a neutral shoe cream rather than waxes or polishes for your Harrys of London shoes. This will prevent the leather drying out and nourish it back to its original colour. To work the cream in and to add shine to your shoes, use a soft long-haired shoe brush (preferably Horse hair) or soft cloth. Using a fast skimming action in a left-to-right motion will give the best results. If required a rain protector spray can also be applied after cleaning.
As leather and suede are natural materials, slight imperfections and growth marks are entirely normal and accepted as being a unique part of the material. All types of leather and natural materials suffer from salt, humidity and other atmospheric agents that can cause irreversible damage. Harrys of London recommends that you take care to avoid contact with heat, water, oil, alcohol, and all abrasive substances. Harrys of London cannot take responsibility for mishandling and the eventual deterioration of the product.
