Introducing the Baron Waxed Suede Brown longwing brogue.
Baron Waxed Suede Brown
This new edition to our brogue family features a longwing construction with intricate perforations and a ‘fiore’ toe detailing. These traditional ‘pinks and perfs’ were historically designed to allow water to drain from the shoes when the wearer crossed wet terrain such as a bog.
Made from British Bovine leather, this unique Waxed Suede has been impregnated with wax for added water resistance, easy care and a rugged vintage appearance. The colour variation of the suede is individual to each shoe and occurs in the tanning process, where the waxes and dyes mix together to form a ‘high and low’ appearance or pull-up effect.
'Pinks and Perfs' detailing
As well as being great for water resistance, the Baron is also scuff resistant. If you accidentally knock or scratch the Waxed Suede, simply rub or brush the area and the impregnated oils and waxes come up to the surface and the mark disappears.
Full rubber dress sole
Sitting on our full rubber dress sole, this wingtip lace-up benefits from a comfort you won’t ever have experienced before. Not only does this sole offer excellent flexibility, comfort and durability, but it looks just like a traditional leather sole when worn. Wet streets will no longer cause you to walk slowly or tread carefully.
Lined with a soft and supple Italian calfskin, the Baron also features our exclusive Technogel® innersole for perfect pressure relieving comfort. The more you wear it, the more comfortable it becomes as the soft, stable and functional gel moulds to the shape of your feet, remembering where your heavy pressure ‘loading peaks’ occur.
With England being such a rainy place, we are safe in the knowledge that when the Baron is on your feet (and ours), the elements will be the last thing you need to worry about. Come rain or shine, this shoe epitomises the Harrys of London ethos of balancing respect for tradition, while embracing the future.
